GNC Pro Performance Hybrid Test Complex

GNC Pro Performance Hybrid Test Complex

GNC Pro Performance Hybrid Test Complex is just $26.99. This could be a screaming deal—or it could be an indication the product isn’t as popular or effective as advertised.

Does Hybrid Test Complex really raise testosterone levels safely and naturally? Find out whether you should put Hybrid Test Complex on your shopping list.

Hybrid Test Complex Ingredients

Unlike other testosterone supplements that have lengthy ingredient lists, Hybrid Test Complex has just two ingredients. This could be beneficial if the ingredients are proven to raise testosterone; if not, it’s difficult to declare this product successful.

One of these ingredients, tribulus terrestris, is among the most common ingredients found in testosterone supplements. However, its potency is debatable.

In one study, healthy young men took either tribulus terrestris or a placebo for 4 weeks. Testosterone, androstenedione, and luteinizing hormone levels were measured before supplementation and at various points afterward. There was no significant difference found between the two groups; thus, tribulus terrestris was not shown to raise testosterone. [1]

However, in rats, tribulus terrestris demonstrated an aphrodisiac quality. It is theorized this was due to androgen-increasing properties. [2] So, tribulus terrestris may yet have some untapped potential, but it’s unclear whether it could raise testosterone in humans.

A serving of Hybrid Test Complex contains 1000 mg tribulus. A clear dosage range has not yet been established, but tribulus is generally safe for short-term use. [3]

The second ingredient, Testofen, is a standardized form of fenugreek extract. Fenugreek did not affect hormonal status in 45 resistance-trained men who took 500 mg fenugreek for 8 weeks, so it’s not proven to raise testosterone. [4]

Nevertheless, it positively impacted body composition, leg press performance, and bench press performance in resistance-trained men. [5] So, while it is not proven to raise testosterone, it may still provide some athletic benefits.

With 600 mg fenugreek, Hybrid Test Complex has slightly more fenugreek than the 500 mg used in both of the studies mentioned above. It’s hard to say whether this makes the ingredient more effective.

Hybrid Test Complex Side Effects

Side effects for tribulus terrestris are unknown. However, fenugreek caused the following side effects in users:

• Diarrhea
• Stomach upset
• Bloating
• Gas
• Nasal congestion
• Coughing
• Wheezing
• Facial swelling
• Allergic reactions
• Lowered blood sugar [6]

Buying Hybrid Test Complex

The following locations carry Hybrid Test Complex for $26.99:

• GNC.com
• Amazon.com
• Drugstore.com
• eBay.com

This is a pretty good deal for a testosterone supplement, especially one from a reliable company like GNC. However, this would be a better deal if Hybrid Test Complex were proven to work.

Hybrid Test Complex: Buy or Deny?

Hybrid Test Complex appears to be relatively safe and risk free, compared to other testosterone-raising supplements with more potent ingredients. But, it’s not proven to work on users. Keep your ears open for user feedback on Hybrid Test Complex, but for now, stick with something clinically proven.
